Thanksgiving in Montana

Yeah, it was a few weeks ago. Oh, well. For T-Day, Nancy and Walter and I went snow shoeing on the Montana/Idaho border. The snow was so packed and wet that we did not actually need our snowshoes so I guess we just went boot shoeing. We did not go anywhere with dramatic scenery but it was nice and quiet. We ran into a couple of people on skis and the backcountry patrol hauling someone out behind a snowmobile. The day before we had gone on our first x-c ski at Mt. Spokane. That was fun as well. Today Walter and I were going to hit Mt. Spokane for snowshoeing but it was raining up there. It did not sound too fun. I am not sure what Christmas is going to bring. I am still working in Richland once a week so my weekends are short. My Solstice Choir performance is this next Saturday and I have to say this is the best sounding choir yet. We have 21 women in the choir this year. I am very excited. So here are some pictures of skiing and booting.

Big moose tracks on Mt. Spokane. Evidently the day before a cougar had killed something at one of the trail junctions.

Nancy as the clouds started rolling in.
